It was a night race! Race #2 of 3, of the Snow Crown Fat-Bike Race Series was held on the well lit and dusty, dusty? cross country ski trails of the Reforestation Camp. To coin and overused phrase, it could be described as a "rolling grass criterium" as the course was wide and fast (17 mph+ average speeds), with constant position changes. In the last lap, Jeff Abitz lost the "sprint before the sprint" but still scored a 2nd in Masters Elite...good enough for a $40 gift card to race sponsor Broken Spoke Bike Studio www.brokenspokebikes.com/. Andrew Knickerbocker sliced his drop bars through the riders (not literally) and hammered his way up to a 5th in Elite. Brian Hansen earned a 2nd in Masters Advanced and Bessey (John) turned his pedals in circles, finishing 9th in Advanced.
