Marji Gesick 2024 - mountain bike race from HELL (not really)

Finishing the Marji Gesick 100 has been a six year, off and on journey for Diablo Cycling's John Bessey.
Three bike failure induced DNF's, getting married and 2020, all legitimately delayed his goal.
In the early morning darkness, John accomplished the last requirement of the Triple Crown Endurance Trilogy / Hall of PAIN!

Adam Koenig, aided by teammate Brian Hansen, returned to finish his 2nd 100.
This year Adam brought along his oldest son, to offer him a glimpse of grit and fortitude.  

For Steve Scherck, it was an experiment in how far you can push yourself while riding sick. 
He made it well past Jackson Mike Park bag drop,  where he finally succumbed to his illness.

Friday and Saturday, Jeff Abitz and Tim Patterson joined the Marji Gesick "Suffer Crew", helping with start line and finish line duties, across a a variety of events. Jeff's Saturday morning shift started at 4:30 and concluded Sunday morning about 2:00 am.
Several other volunteers worked until 10:30 am!

2025 registration opens on Friday, October 13th, at 9:06 PM - Eastern Time.
This race is NOT for everyone.
