Earning membership to the Triple Crown Hall of Pain is not for the average bicycle racer. This Club of the Crazy? is reserved for those who wish to challenge themselves to the "impossible to ride" singletrack of Marji Gesick, the "mashed potato" snow of the Polar Roll, and the overnight isolation of the Crusher. Information: 906adventureteam.com/mountain-bike-events/triple-crown/ Diablo Brian Hanson only needed to conquer the Crusher to reach this milestone of misery. A week following Adam Koenig's second, and Brian Hanson's first, Crusher EX225 completion, they shared with me how it went over a few adult sodas. The weather was great...no rain and only dropping into the high 50's. The course was WET! Forget about keeping your feet dry. The course was more challenging than last year...Adam should know, he was there with me. Really Adam? How much harder could it have been? Something about rolling "baby heads"?! Did they finish? Well yeah! Isn't that what you do when you start something? Results are not currently posted. Who cares. This is about survival, not racing. It took them 34 hours and 34 minutes. Did you know there may be people out there now? The even runs until September 30th.
