The last few years, Jeff Abitz has taken a liking to this absolute mountain bike ripper.
The course starts high, and finishes down low, with plenty of fast descents, and little single track to slow you down. Group racing tactics are in play.

Typical podium dweller Brian Hanson was absent this year (he opted to race the Maah Daah Hey 100 instead), however Jamie Zarda filled the podium void with a 1st in the "Old Lady" (her words not mine) category.
Jeff anticipated a great result but was only partially satisfied, finishing two and half minutes off the 3rd place podium.

Here is how the Diablos did:
Hard Rock (48 miles)  614 total

45-49 Female (8 total)
Jamie Zarda - 1st (329th overall)

55 to 59 Male (54 total)
Jeff Abitz - 7th, (129th overall)
