Each year The Bear 100 has gotten more and more competitive. 31, 73 and 107 mile courses, consisted of North woods remote rolling gravel, dirt road, and double track. In the 107 mile race, Diablo's John Lester was a bit "overbiked", riding his less efficient mountain bike to a 23rd place out of 175 registered. He must be embracing this form of racing discipline as he has smartly entrusted The Recyclist Bicycle Co. www.recyclist.com/ to build him a proper racing gravel bike for his upcoming Gravel Worlds. - Jabitz
