Hosting a cyclocross "legal" race at the new venue of the Diablo Woodland Cross was a challenge. Long grass, brush, and woods did not lend itself to the easier stake and tape courses commonly raced. Several members of the Diablo Cycling Team, as well as their friends, rose to the challenge, contributing dozens of hours creating a course that included elements of gravel, mountain bike, and cyclocross. Feedback was positive overall, mostly due the unique nature of the features.
