 The end of April in Wisconsin still calls for minimal amounts of skin to be exposed during riding and racing. Maybe that favors the Diablo Cycling riders, as their recent showing at the Muskego Park Criterium was incredibly successful.
Then again, maybe it was the course that fit their strengths. Here's what every rider needed to conquer:

Whilst many Diablos partook in the stress of close contact competition Jeff Abitz relaxed his brain, and pummeled his legs, with the "scenic sufferfest" of the Dairy Roubaix. This non-race gravel ride had roughly 7,000 feet of climbing for about 107 miles.     Well, the winter onslaught finally subsided! After a weekend of canceled and postponed
races, criterium season officially began with the Whitnall Park Spring Classic in Hales Corners. Some sketchy road surfaces claimed a few pavement hitters, but thankfully, bodies were intact. More importantly, no bikes were destroyed. Recently several members of Diablo Cycling and friends spent a week of mild weather riding in Tennessee. Endless rolling, twisting, and smooth rural roads, along with very accomidating locals, made it a true cycling paradise. Most of us rode over 250 miles and climbed over 10,000 feet during the week. We also "enjoyed" the company of several dogs that were a bit too eager to meet us.  Ready for a 70 degree ride. We were joined by a two time Ironman finisher and a Marji Gesick finisher.
