For over twenty years the Iola Winter Sports Club opens up the trails to the WORS mountain bike racers. The start loop, that takes racers up and around the back side of Iola’s 40 & 60 meter ski jumps, then drops back down into the jump bowl, may be the best lead-out in the series.  The Wisconsin Endurance Mountain Bike Series (wemseries.com/) returns with the series opener. Each 11.25 mile long lap was on the fast and flowing singletrack of the Jack Lake trails just north of Antigo. (www.singletracks.com/bike-trails/jack-lake/) With temperatures pushing 90 degrees challenged the racers with many ending their races prior to the 3, 6 or 9 hour time limits.
