Mirror, mirror on the wall, who's the fast cyclist of them all ... or in Wisconsin, at least? As it turns out, a few Diablo's can lay stake to this claim, and many other posted solid finishes in Fitchburg and New Glarus. The Wisconsin State Cycling Championships kicked off with the criterium, also known as the Fitchburg Festival of Speed, on July 13, 2019. The road race took place the following day in the land of Spotted Cows. Here are three highlights from the weekend:
The time trial took place the following week and was also in New Glarus, but no Diablo riders partook in the race of truth, however a few found themselves in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan preparing for the Crusher "enhanced" gravel race (more on that coming soon).
