Talk about variety. The Red Granite Grinder had it all. Pavement, a long climb up Rib Mountain, a 1+ mile hike a bike down a rocky trail, lots of gravel, single track, double track, a river crossing, and lots hills.

Dan Naef, Diablo Cycling's latest addition, added to his impressive palmares, with an age category win!  
Jeff Abitz opted to use his clip-on aero bars, which made for fast, efficient solo riding (although working in the smaller groups probably would have resulted in a shorter time).
Adam Koenig further proved his grit and determination, finishing in the dark and smiling.
