La Crosse Omnium 2018 Race Results

If you consider yourself a cyclist or fan of the sport, the first weekend in May is most likely blocked off for the La Crosse Omnium.

Whether used as an "A Race" or simply a tune up for the more prestigious Northeast Wisconsin Omnium taking place the following weekend, the Coulee region is a fantastic cycling venue. Even if one of those statements is slightly biased, Diablo racers across all categories had respectable showings — and no one can argue that!

Here's who raced and how they fared:

Macy Lester - Junior Women's 9-12

Road race: 3rd
Criterium: 5th

Megan Lester - Junior Women's 15-16

Road race: 1st
Criterium: 1st
Omnium: 3rd

Sally Lester - Women's Cat 4

Road race: 14th
Criterium: 12th

Other guys take note: someone needs to be handy with the camera when Sally is racing. On a related note, major props to Sally for her fantastic photography skills!

John Bessey - Cat 5

Time Trial: 7th
Road race: 16th
Criterium: 13th

Logan Moore - Cat 5

Time Trial: 6th
Road race: 4th
Criterium: 20th
Omnium: 6th
Length of order at New Taste of India: Dead last

Adam Koenig - Cat 4

Time Trial: 28th
Road race: DNF - Crash
Criterium: 34th

Some chainring tattoos are more painful than others, yet Adam persevered and raced the next day. Grit doesn't always get a spot on the podium, but it must be recognized.
