Tim Patterson took on the highest, if not the hardest, one day mountain bike race in the United States. Only 76% made it to the finish line and Tim was one of them. The 104 mile out-and-back course, located in the Colorado Rocky Mountains, has a low elevation of 9,200 feet and reaches as high as 12,516 feet. The majority of the race is on forest trails and mountain gravel roads. Full Results: https://www.athlinks.com/event/219291/results/Event/982379/Results - Jabitz

I am still processing the experience of this race. It was really hard and I am still recovering from the altitude. Blocked ear canals, can't hear. I helped a racer who crashed right in front of me on the Columbine descent and rode by multiple sheriff's vehicles and first responders on the St Kevin's descent where I found out later a racer had passed away from his injuries. This race is no joke.
