the inaugural diablo river cross!

​At the Diablo Cycling end of the year banquet last year,
Race Director Bob Anderson proposed the team put on a cyclocross race.
As a guy that watched the team's cyclocross participation grow from three guys grasping to their youth a few years ago, to about ten “regulars”, I must say I felt a shot of adrenalized excitement.
On October 8th, 2017 the Diablo River Cross was born!
With Bob’s direction and the combined efforts of the team, family, sponsors, and friends, race #3 in the the Hinterlands Cyclocross Series was a huge success.
The unique course was at Sunset Park in Kimberly, WI and included:

• a beer garden only inches from the course
• live music from ATown
• a step filled run-up
• a heckle friendly ride/run up
• two bridge crossings
• a grinding set of steep kickers that challenged the afternoon racers
• fenced in play area for the kids
• fully enclosed pavilion for registration
